

Daniil MARGULIS
Turkish Double Bassist Daniil Margulis is the joint 1st prize winner of the 2nd International Double Bass Competition of Belgium as well as 2nd prize winner at the Huddersfield “Mrs Sunderland” Festival Young Soloist of the Year competition. Daniil made his concerto debut with Stringendo Ensemble under the baton of Pascale Van Os at the Alden Biesen Castle in Belgium in 2024 as well as an appearance in Wigmore Hall, performing Krzysztof Penderecki’s “Duo Concertante”.
As a chamber musician he was featured on BBC radio 3 “In Tune” and appears on “Robert Simpson - Chamber Music Volume One” released by Toccata Records. He was invited as the guest artist for the opening night concert of the 20th International GümüÅŸlük Music Festival. Recent orchestral performances include appearances with the Orchestra of the English National Opera, Royal Northern Sinfonia and Orpheus Sinfonia.
He has performed in countries such as Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, United States, Germany, Montenegro and Bosnia as well as Turkey and UK. After completing his studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School where he studied on a full scholarship Daniil currently continues his Master of Performance studies with Caroline Emery at the Royal College of Music in London.
