Lidong HE

 

Lidong He began to learn bass at the age of 16. In 2016, he studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He studied double bass under Professor Luo Xu and completed his undergraduate degree in 2021. In 2022, he was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and began his master's degree under Professor Alexandra Scott. He completed his master's degree in 2024, and now he is continuing to study for a doctorate.

In 2017, he participated in the Yilan International Bass Art Festival in Taiwan, and won the third place in the adult group. Became a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra in 2018. The second place in the double bass group of the first string competition of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2019. Second place in the Namur International Bass Competition in 2023.

During his time in school, he participated in many art festivals and completed master classes with Janne Saksala, Dorin Marc, Matthew McDonald, Wies de Boevé and others. He held many concerts and participated in the closing concert of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2019 and the 2023 Baden-Baden String Festival in Germany and the orchestra cooperated with the Potesini Concerto in B minor. In 2025, he was admitted to the Hanover NDR-Radiophiharmonie Academy and won a scholarship.
