Stefan Johann KRATTENMACHER, luthier

The Double Bass  and Bow Making Competition / 2025 edition in NAMUR has the honor of counting on luthier Stefan Johann KRATTENMACHER as President of the Jury.

 

Born in Tegernsee, a small Alpine village south of Munich, he became the first luthier in the long family woodworking tradition. After my training in Mittenwald, I worked in Hong Kong, Melbourne, and London. This experience, blending diverse influences, is reflected in his work.
