XU  LUO

         Double bassist Xu Luo is an associate professor of the Orchestral Instruments

Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, a master's supervisor, and the Deputy

Secretary General of the string society of China Music Association.

        He has won many awards including the 2006 International double bass competition in Bern, Switzerland. He worked for Oper Frankfurt and was a guest musician of Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich in Switzerland and Southwest Radio Symphony Orchestra in Germany.

           In recent years, his  two CD albums of "Double Bassissimo" and "Super Bass", and the bass teaching material "37 Orchestra Excerpts " have been widely praised in China. Many of the students under his guidance have won good results in many double bass competitions abroad
