International Double Bass Competition
NAMUR 2026 * Categories A, B, C
Who?
The competition is open to everyone!
We invite you to register via the form, by choosing your corresponding category;
Category A (7-10 years) / Category B (11-14 years) / Category C (15-18 years)
The PRIZES
First prize winners will receive a bow and a set of strings, second prize winners will receive two sets of strings, and third prize winners will receive a set of double bass strings.
Where and how?
It will be held in the IMEP concert hall in Namur (Belgium)
Other spaces will be available for individual work.
When?
Wednesday, August 12: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: rehearsals with piano
Thursday, August 13: from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Competition
Friday, August 14: at 3 p.m.: Awards Ceremony
FREE ENTRANCE!
How much?
Participation in the competition costs 100 euros.
It is possible to rent an instrument that fits your size!
